ASUS P2L97 & P2L97-S Fix for Riva-TNT Voltage Problem

ASUS P2L97 1.x series motherboards can be modified to supply sufficient voltage to nVIDIA RIVA TNT cards. Revision 2.x and later features a changed voltage supply to support AGP 2.0 specifications. Before proceeding check correct voltage of ATX connector either by measuring pin 1 (3.3V- orange) against pin 3 (ground - black) or by checking within BIOS section Power Management Setup that 3.3V output lies between 3.15 and 3.45V.
P2L97 solution
Disconnect existing voltage regulator FD3055 which is labeled Q6 on the mainboard (marked in picture below):

Connect 3.3V line of ATX connector (pin 1) to + of condensator CE17 with a thick wire:

Disconnect existing voltage regulator right above DIMM sockets (marked below):
Connect 3.3V line of ATX connector (pin 1) to + of condensator CC18 with a thick wire:
